What distance would u zero 223 rifle at shooting no longer than 250/300.

 

I have zero it at 100 M.

i usually work in yards but 100m sounds about right i would zero at 100 yards though but roughly the sam e

100 is the norm mate, just depends on the person......

I have my 223 zeroed at 200yds using 40gn hornady vmax... It shoots an inch high at 100..Bang on at 200..5.5inches low at 300..

If you are out to 250-300 yards I would consider a 200 yard zero.

 

Mine is 200yd with 55g HP (easy for me to zero as I often shoot Short Siberia 200 yards), this is 1.4 inches high at 100 yards and around 8 inches low at 300.

 

So, if you are 100 zero you have a lot of drop to contend with by the time you get out to 300yards!!
