Good all rounder for under £500?

Im looking for a good all round air rifle for around £500, prefer to spend less but if a little bit more gets me a lot more then ill put to it.

 

Wanting to shoot static targets and eventually go hunting with it, will be hunting rats, rabbits and the usual small stuff.

 

I was thinking an air arms s410 with a decent scope, what do you think? Where is good to buy from? The only place I know of in my area is Cheshire Gun Room, never been in so dont know what they are like as a company.

 

Also can anyone reccomend a good club in the area? Looking for somewhere to shoot indoors.

you'd get a decent pcp for £500 quid but then u need the bottle aswell i'd go for a decent springer say air arms tx200 get some change for a decent scope

I'd suggest something like a HW90k or a heavier Theoben, both gas ram guns. They will be well under budget and much more refined than a springer. I've recently sold my springers after moving from a gas ram, to pre charged, to the basic springer. The springer was the hardest thing I've ever shot! If you can be bothered with the pre charged route, I highly recommend an air arms S200. I could put out a cigarette with mine at the same range as I was getting an inch group with my springers! They're so accurate it's hard to miss with one!

You should be able to get a full PCP set up (gun,scope,bottle) for £500, certainly an S200 or 400/400k.

They would certtainly be suitable for your needs.

i have just got a gunpower stealth you could get one of them, quite cheap and get some good scopes and a bipod, and have change but you would have to get a pump or bottle, but my uncle can hit the same hole off the bipod more than twice. i could do it to but can not use it till christmas so there you go thats my opinion i would get one of them.

I would recomend an s200 mate!!! Very maneuverable and light rifle. Great for round a farm yard and great out in the feilds on the rabbits. Also a very good target shooting rifle with small consistent groups out to 40 yards. Me and my mate can hit eggs out to 60 yards and cans out to even 75-.

mate im sorry and i dont want to start a argument this is just my opinion, the s200 are crap they break and just over all crap. i was thinking of getting one and every gun shop i went to told me not to get one.

Gamo's they should changed the name to scammoes load of shite i took my hw100 in to the gunsmiths in a case he said if thats a gamo i brake it over your head. Go for weihrauchs can't go wrong mate.
