Its know-it-alls like you that are the curse of the terrier world! GO WRECK SOMEONE ELSES THREAD . rexdigger replied to your post, as what you put on your post as a strange injury, its a common thing that happens when digging game !! so dont be talking out your hole on this forum, knocking lads that reply to your post, and with your replies to his post it looks like you will be learning till the day you die !!!!!!!! waz77 15
I had it happen 4 times to an old bitch and once about 3 weeks ago to a young dog.First time it happened i thought the bitch had lost all the teeth in her top jaw cos there was a fair bit of blood and mud it was hard to see what had happened at first. jolong 1
my whippet bitch once grabbed a feral cat and then left go of it .. which doesn't happen with her... when i was smoothing her later on i seen that her one tooth had gone through her top lip.... i think its where they go to grab hold and their lip gets in the way all the best with him.. Bradford Lad 74
Excellent account DnN, but what i would like to congratulate you on is the fact that you went out of your way to help a lad and give him some valuable expirience. I wish there were more like you who are prepared to take a chance on a newcomer, permission is hard to get these days and if these skills arent passed on they'l die out. Quote Link to post
swanseajack 227
It happens to dogs that mix it, quite often, they're busy pummeling their foxes and pushing them whilst trying to get a better grip the flews get in the way and the dogs all fired up don't know (dont feel) they are doing it.. We call it lipping, down this way... Dogs that bay and don't mix it prolly don't end up llike it, perhaps that's why some lads haven't seen it before... live and learn !!! well done..
