Keeps 403
well at least thats what BD roughcoat said last night whilst he was pouring out a huge glass of "Paddys" whisky, after a couple of generous measures of Foxman's damson wine and a few drinks at the pub Well this morning I got the chance to put it to the test :drag: We had Deep dig, Peter & Tan with us today, Peter brought along his young lurcher Taz who'd never been ferreting before. Started off in the woods and bolted a few for Indie and Nuala, then we made our way across to some more open land to give Taz a few runs on his own. He did very well, and soon had caught his first ferreted bunny Even out in the open the rabbits didnt want to bolt today, but the dogs had a few runs. First rabbit of the day, unfortunately was dug to, not a good start Taz watching and taking it all in a bolt in the woods another dig Taz's first run - he did very well, very fast and a good strike - he's not a year old yet this one was nualas catch, but indie pinched it off her to retrieve little poley jill - doing very very well for one of this years kits The weather was very good today, fairly cold in the afternoon, but bright. We had a good day out, in good company, finished off in a very civilised manner with a pint at the nearby pub - hair of the dog is definitely the best cure for a hangover Quote Link to post

Keeps 403
sounds like a great day out, piccys are good too, like the ferret one best.well done all keep hunting cjw I like that piccie too, that little ferret is only a this year's kit; yesterday was her third trip out and she's shone from the start. She is the tiniest ferret I have ever owned, and would you believe the first hole she went down she had to be dug out holding onto a great big rabbit in a stop end - I'd never have believed she'd be capable of holding one, but she did it Quote Link to post
