unfortunately i think all this unwanted attention to the thread is going to cause what looks a cracking dog to be sold in the free ads or cmw to some one who's unaware of it history that it was owned by a plonker! :( shame. hope the dog finally finds a good permanent home :) but unfortunately with a price of 250 i think he'll have a few probs!

It makes me sad when i see decent dogs passed round like this.......its only a pup, how many homes has it had?. Anyway, i will offer a permanent working home to him if you ever need to give away free to good home. my hubby will kill me but hey ho.

Im new on here, nice place full of good advise etc, Im pretty sure I have seen this dog on offer from at least 2 if not 3 sellers in the same area, it's pure shameful to be honest, I doubt very much any of the sellers would take you up on your kind offer (sadly) poor reflection on the owners, we should have a whip round and buy it, then get it to you so it can have a decent lifes, somethings are more important than a few quid, ie that poor dogs welfare, I am not saying it underfed or badly treat, cause Im no expert, but Im savvy enough to know it needs a permanent home, atvb Richard

All i know is that you cant expect a puppy to work and give 100% for you if it doesnt know or trust you. You have to work with your dog to build up its confidence in itself and you. This does not involve molly coddling them, merely praise and discipline where required, not over expecting from it, feed water warm dry clean kennel and most of all time.

I'm not slagging you off just to make it clear, anything i need to say i will say to you. I am sure that the dog is fantastic and to me looks well cared for and well done for getting his confidence back. Just saying try to get him a permanent home thats all, after all he deserves one if he has served you well.

Genrally a dog is only as good as you make it, breeding counts for some but training can make or break. The dog is young and so what age where you working it when you had it? you cannot expect a dog to be on top of its game at such a young age, theres is plenty can be done to turn it round x
