loose dog 0
Pity this topic got soured so quickly, very interesting to hear of big cat sightings from sources not in the main stream media. I think if had been standing so close to a big cat I would have been awed, even honoured last thing on my mind would be set the dog on it, hardly a pest species. Quote Link to post

shinyspade 2
my father in law saw a big cat in scotland when he reported it to the police the whole station started meowing two days later there was another sighting by no other than two policemen. this time it made a couple of paragraths in the local rag . five years later whilest driving plantation with dogs on to a big old moor i saw a sandy coloured big cat i had plenty of time to watch it in broad daylight its long back low carried head and long tail the end of it disapearing in the deep heather. it really was a sight. so i did what any hunter in there right mind would do i lifted up the only dog near a bully type russell and he soon set off after the beast my heart was beating faster and my adrenalin was coursing through my veins for a split second i started crapping it as the beast turned to face scruffy who was not slowing and was about on it. thankfully it turned and took off with a speed and gait that could only belong to a big feck off lurcher it was the depth of the heather that gave it a totally different look and even made the movement of the dog look different. i found out later that this dog had been living ferrell on an industrial estate near the area and that it was dumped by tinks and could easilly clear the six foot fence that was between there it was there for teens of years and was known to take roe deer. many folk tried to catch the dog but no one ever did one lurcher lad staked out his bitch in season for a week just to try and get a line off the dog. but alas it never fell for that old trick now i'm not saying you never saw a big cat. but the dog was the same colour as the police and the father in law discribed what i am saying if you had slipped a dog you could have been sure either way Quote Link to post
