Black Panthers are melanistic variants of Leopards,....but you CAN get black Mt.Lions (also known as Cougars, Pumas etc)..

 

 

Ive no doubt that a pair of decent Bullx would hold a 22-23" big cat....Mt.Lions over here have been taken with Staghounds...there was a dog in New Mexico named 'Joe', he was the Uncle to my Tor bitch...the guy that owned him was out calling yotes, with a distress sound....the dog ran off into the brush, and a battle-royal started...the guy ran over and his dog had a 70lb Cougar/Mt.Lion buy the throat...he didnt shoot, coz he was scared of hitting the dog...after a while the dog choked the big cat down enough that he could get a foot on it and tap it with his .22 pistol...it was all but finished though...the dog could do coyotes for fun, single handed as well...

 

Also, a man i would trust with my life, told me his father, had four Staghounds that stretched out and killed a 140lb Mt.Lion...all four Stags where proper dogs, all over 100lbs, and killers at that...so if you think about, 400lb of dog Vs 140lb of cat, it makes sense....crazy though eh!

Alright all. Dont know about big cats not seen one my self but I have a mate that has 2 cowateys 1 he shot and has stuffed and another the dogs got and didnt leave enough of it to be stuffed and the dogs looked like they'd done a round or 2 with mike tyson so wouldnt fancy there chances at big cats but wouldnt mind watching and as for a camera not bieng funny but who wants to smash a £200 quid item for the sake of getting a pic of a few dead conneys or a charlie or 2 seems prety piontless 2 me. I have a couple of mates that lamp the same way out of the van doesnt take my fancy I like to mooch about in the shadows in the wind and rain(weirdo) but my mates are very successfull with this method and get more than a few every one has there own ways as long as people are having ago and getting out from in front of the bloody tv who cares each to there own. KEEP HUNTING GUYS HOWEVER YOU DO IT.

I know a reliable source that has seen big game hanging in he game dealers that has been shot when escaped from the local zoo. the zoo have an arrangement with the dealers to butcher the meat to feed there big cats. theres nothing tosay all escapees are caught.
