Grim Reaper 1
Hi just intersted to see what you think of a 177 pellet in a heavy form im shooting a hw100tk 177 and ive been useing jsb exact heavys which are 10.5 grains for hunting and im really pleased with the performance has anybody used anything simlair??? The heaviest i have used so far with my S310 are RWS Superdomes 8.3 grains - mainly because it is one of four brands that my barrel is ok with, and secondly i haven't found much that's heavier ( .177 cal) in my RFD shop? Timelord 0
I use JSB Exact Heavies too and they are fantasic pellets for hunting. I use mainly Air arms Field Diablos and they hunt well too. My S-TYPE can only use softer compound pellets like these above due to the Anshutz barrel being so precise and not running any risks of stripping the rifling. I hit a rat with one of these JSB heavies and it ripped it's head of almost it made a right bloody mess of it , so yes these are a winner in the heavy weight .177 caliber pellets Quote Link to post
ferretville 69
Air Arms Diablo , H&N field tropthy both work for me . Quote Link to post

I agree there donnyc, but maybe I didn't explain myself, I should have said about accupells which Theoben have told me not to use. This is because they use a high content of steel mixed in the lead. Whereas Air Arms and JSB's are made from very high contents of lead. Thus the undesireable effect of the rifling getting stripped. This is what Theoben say so all the while my S-TYPE is on it's 3 year warranty I won't mess about with it... Quote Link to post

Deker 3,478
I only have the one .177 and it is a BSA Magnum pistol, so not necessarily representative but it loves Bisley Premier which I make 11.27g, but there seems debate between about 10.6-11.28g Quote Link to post
ghillies 209
i get them when and wheree i can... usualy buy the shop out if they have the heavies in. tin weights and pellet weights are like the fairy tails stories...rarely tally. Quote Link to post
