This question has no good answer i think, Youl find that most people will prefer a dog that has got stamina,agility,speed,intelligence,good strong bones and a good thick coat.

Beddy whippet, she marks the holes and if she doesnt mark it then i dont even bother putting the ferrets down. She knows where they are going to come from and knows where they will go once bolted, very clever little ferreting bitch.

Ive got a three quarter whippet quarter grey marks hole's work's a long net bushes like a machine and slaughters bunnys on the lamp couldent ask for anything more, and he will work from dusk till dawn

There is no definative answer to this, as all sorts of types will earn their corn at the ferreting game.

i like the beddy whippet crosses as well plenty of speed for those short sharp dashes,sharp little dogs these mine tends to yip a bit though

i would think about the tipe of terrain it will be used on first . if theres alot of cover about or the berreis or close to each other then a small type beddixwhippet would suit you better for short fast sprints . or if the berreis are in the edgerows with open fields or in the fields them selfs then a beddixwhippetxgrayhound may be better for you it would have a bit more stamina for longer dashes . hope it helps

Depends on amount of work really, we use collie greys, will last all day, on hard running ground, 30 plus long runs in a day.

If there is less quarry, the smaller, leaner, faster wick whippet types can have that bit more edge, but not by much!
