macberran 2
Mackem I can just see it , the need for fantasy... I had the local expert up here and ..with the best intentions in the world, was hysterical in the real sense. He ranted for hours with no definetive answer. Wore me out , I thought feck this , now go. I just want to say, I ain't seen anything ,though being were I am ,I know what it isn't if you know what I mean. And it makes me curious. I too would like an explanation, and the only reasonable one for me till a better more viable one comes along is..............what else !!` .....portals ....ffs
farlap 19
Just curious if anyone has ever seen/glimpsed any of Britains legendary wild big cats? Someone must have seen one whilst out! No arguments there are big cats on these isles. I was driving near okehampton 2 years ago when something crossed the lane and disappeared thru a hedge.....it was about knee high and had a long tail and mocved in a feline manner rather than a "dog" manner if that makes sense? and when i paced out the width of the lane (approx 8 feet wide) the body/tail combination was 6-7 feet long. Then last year a similar thing happened in the same place and talking with the farmer whose land it was he had about 5 dead ewes in the field the same week. Last year I was driving across Germany and was sat in a road work queue.....as i looked to the side of me there was a long field with heavy german forest all around it....i watched a black feline shape come out of the trrees and stalk something....it was a fair way away and I assumed it was a cat stalking a rabbit....until I worked out it was in fact a hell of a long way further than I 1st thought and it ws a "big" cat stalking a roe!! I mostly dont believe the public sightings that often appear in local papers or tv as most members of the public couldnt tell a badger from a fox let alone recognise a non indiginous species!!! Tiff 36
I grew up in puma country and had horses, I would go out riding 3-5 times a week, for 15 years. I took summer camping trips where we'd be gone for 5-10 days straight both in rural areas with the horses, and at camp sites around lakes. I had 2 friends and the dad and uncle of another friend who worked for the parks departments, the latter 2 had been parks officers for over 20 years in that same area. NONE of them, or me, ever saw one whisker of one, and it was in one of the most densely populated places for puma in the state. Now tracks and scat, yes. But the actual animal, never. And they are definitely there! Oh I guess I should mention the only time I thought there might be one nearby I was with my bitch sister hiking with the dogs, Demon went ape shit and started launching himself up the cliff on the right side of us, trying his hardest to get up but couldn't make it. The collie and a russell shit themselves and booked all the way back to the car (cowards!). None of those dogs had ever reacted like that to anything before, we had hiked there frequently, and I don't know what it was but we sure left there sharpish (although I wish whatever it was had eaten my sister )
