mistwalker 0
Yup, ya can hear them now: "Used to have an Italian Greyhound - tiny wee thing, the runt o the litter - it would knock them big feckers down for fun, etc. etc. etc." :wankerzo4: Quote Link to post
cymruguy69 5
I wouldn't even risk running my dog on any of them even if there where 5 other dogs with him. That would turn and charge and kill anything it hits!!! Quote Link to post
mackem 27,479
Is that first one a wapiti? Quote Link to post
Guest world.hunters
LOL i think there all just huge red stags according to the website they are. W.h Quote Link to post
mackem 27,479
Certainly bigger than the average we get here then, theres some big ones ten minutes away but those NZ fellows dwarf our home grown variety. Quote Link to post
Simoman 110
Don't be fooled, the New Zealand tourist board hire dwarves to make the stags look larger and bring in hunting revanue.......... Quote Link to post
mackem 27,479
The first pic does look like a wapiti hybrid because they do crossbreed with red deer over there and that bulks the size up,hybrid-vigour Quote Link to post
miss lurcher bitch 319
maybe the people in NZ are just smaller lol Edited November 14, 2008 by miss lurcher bitch Quote Link to post
Yokel Matt 918
The first pic does look like a wapiti hybrid because they do crossbreed with red deer over there and that bulks the size up,hybrid-vigour It is mate. You'd be amazed the amount of those that are bread in parks using high protein feed and then released onto a 'hunting estate'. I have a mate over there who used chopper lift big stags like that from deer parks where they were shot to 'Lord of the Rings' style back drops where the big white hunter could get his picture taken. He didn't agree with it but the money was paid by the shooting agents was good. There are good wild stags out there of course. Either way i wouldn't fancy any dogs chances against one.
