thepriest 0
"The Life and Times of The Thunderbolt Kid" by Bill Bryson Absolutely laugh out loud, tears in your eyes, tea out your nose funny. Have read it about 4 times and will read it many, many more. Quite simply it's the story of Bill Bryson growing up in small town America in the 1950's, it's not a comedy book, but the funniest thing I have ever read. I cannot possibly recommend it highly enough. Amother Bill Bryson book i read was titled A short history of nearly eveything. Or something like that, I got it from the libary, Good read to. ferreterni 29
Robin hobbs Farseer triology, Liveship traders and the tawny man triology. Set off nine books. Best work of fiction I ever read. And if you want to please the child in you, any of the Brian Jacques Redwall series. ( been reading them since I was a nipper )
pointer28 1
I have the entire Bill Bryson and have read most of them 4 or 5 times. He has one called "Neither Here Nor There" about backpacking through Europe. One chapter is dedicated to Hamburg and in particular the Reeperbahn "red light district", you have to read this, hilarious.

thepriest 0
Bravo two zero by Andy Mcnab..... it gets better with every read! Not a fan of Macnabs fiction writing its all to predictable. I much prefer Chris Ryans fiction. As for their accounts of the gulf war, If you read their versions of events theres a lot of discrepancies.
