driller killer 33
My bitch is about 1/4 pharaoh hound, I think there very similar, shes pretty tough and plenty of prey drive! Luckily she quiet when out, can be a noisey cow when home though and gets excited, so much so im thinking of getting one of those anti bark spray collars, does my bloody head in! Quote Link to post
Gitano 17
I've got a Podenco-based lurcher. Very noisy little b*****d but that's part of his job out in the field; also, he lets the big dogs know when anyone's about the property so he doubles as a very alert warning dog, as well. hogdog 61
It's an odd choice as a Lurcher cross because it's not a coursing dog, it's a hound in every sense except the way it looks. They're not built to run fast, they're built for agility rather than speed so they don't have the 'top gear' that Lurchers have. As has already been said they're meant to yap too, not good for a Lurcher cross either. I wouldn't use a running dog on 'their terrain' any more than I'd use one of them on 'our terrain'.
