fresh rabit

hey, ive never feed my ferrets fresh rabbit before, do you cut it up or just gut it and leave em eat it??? would rabbits shot with a shot gun be ok????

either way will be ok, I've feed whole and skinned and diced into chunks

I just gut mine and stick them in the freezer for at least 48 hrs longer if possible totally defrost and just feed them with it. People do things diffrently but that works for me regards Dowen.

shotgun shot rabbits should be fine mate, as long as you use 7 shot up, apparently. But just gut it, and then throw it in, they will love the head so dont take that off, and if need be, you might want to pull the skin back around the ribs abit, so it opens it up more, good luck mate

shoot the rabbit throw it in whole wont be much left after a day or 2.

I gut my rabbits open up the ribs and pelvis and pop them in the freezer in a polybag ,Ive 6 ferrets in each hutch and give them a rabbit a hutch daily,But for a single ferret a back legs plenty

I gut mine, chop them in half, feed half in the morning, and half in the evening, if I'm strapped for time, bung them in whole.
