just seen my lurchers toe is swollen its around the end of the toe nail and up a little bit on the toe aswell on the back leg , its also kinda redish and abit rawish i couldnt see anything where she might of got a prod of somthing but then again somthing must of happened, any ideas what i should do and how long should i rest her before running her again, she isant lame on it but abit tender to the touch

Could be a broken toe, what cross, what sort of exercise do you give it?

More than likely its just the swelling from the trauma of whatever cracked the nail in the first place seen as shes not lame. Best thing to do is bathe in warm salt water 2-3 times a day. If after a couple days there's no change, its worth seeking a vet in case its something more sinister that could impair her running terminally i.e. worst case scenario, hair line fracture in the toe. With regards to running her, just use common sense.
