threbb 0
what is the law in norway or do you live in britian. hopefully norway live in norway, badgerhunting is legal. i`m not asking about drawing the badger alive out of the set, but getting it out if shot in a difficult place, like the one described above. done it years ago with adults, i was there with them as a kid 1 dog got killed the other fu*ked up, pointless but this was while drawing a live badger, right? i`m talking about dragging out a dead one, as i don`t want them to rot in the den. I suppose the problem might be getting a dog still interested when the animal is dead. A small bullterrier type would be the obvious but still its something they will do or wont do.It might be best to get a dog wound up to this from a very early age by teasing and pulling badger skins on a daily basis so it becomes very focused on that job.You only have to look at pitbull training to see what can be achieved from an early age,but once a dog has been allowed to work live game things could change i dont really know im just guessing. Guest john the baptist
If the thing had been shot. I guess it all depends on the layout of the sett. Did the terrier have to pull it round any bends, up or downhill, and how tight the tubes are. Also the size and strength of the terrier. Anyways what's wrong with digging up to it yourself to extract it from the sett? Edited November 12, 2008 by john the baptist Quote Link to post
