mart 131
had a bit of an excavation this sunday. my terrier located two badgers under a large boulder. the entire set was made out boulders and rocks and we were shfting them around for four hours before we eventually gave up.(it gets dark at 17.00 around here now) one of the badgers bolted, and fled in to another set 20 yards from the one we were working. the second badger stood his ground and we could eventually see him about 5 feet in. we only had shotguns with us so we didnt risk shooting. if we had brought a .22, we could have shot him. but, would the terrier be able to drag him out? don`t like the idea of a dead badger occupying the set, so i was thinking about training him to do this one way or another. any advice? Guest jbswildlife
why same reasons as for backfilling, i want new ones to move in as fast as possible. also, we keep the skin. i used to sit out late at night waiting for the badger to come out and stand up so i could shoot them. never wanted them to return due to the worry of the cattle and sheep on the farm, are you's over run with them in norway mate Quote Link to post
