I take your point Pitindall though on a daytime mooch, usually the first thing spotted is the moocher, unless your dressed like Cammoman in some realtree gimp suit and in heavy cover, us uprights are usualy stood where we ain't best placed to blend in and stand out like sore thumbs! As for the dog, of any colour, that puts up game, it's gonna run it, where and how far you just don't know and on the move in open countryside or in winter cover they will get notice too. I would have no problem choosing a white pup in a litter for any type of work, personal choice but I like white dogs, you can really see good condition in 'em. The two most important things in choosing a lurcher is, what do you want from it and how well is it bred!!! Quote Link to post

allgame 0
i like white dogs because you can see them at night and day easily and you'll never lose your dog and you can see what there doing on the back of the ute, the condition of the dog is also easy to see. also every brindle dog looks the same lol the last two brindle dogs iv had everyone thought iv had their 'exact brother' very annoying having to go through each other breeds and perants aswell as the location of the dogs only to have the other man say well the preants proberly had to litter and i know its a load of crap i dont like white dogs because other poeple can see them and the blood i like dogs that are about fifty percent white just a personal thing Quote Link to post
rob-s 0
i don't think it's the prey quarry spotting you a mile off that you have to worry about!! Think you may be right there! wonder if he wants to buy a second hand car,low mileage, only used on sundays to go to church, lol Quote Link to post
Netter 0
I bred a litter of lurcher pups and a fella came to look at a dog pup that was black and white, he drove 128 miles got here to see it and said it's got a lot of white on it, I said it's black and white, he said it was more like white and black and that it was no good as he wanted it for lamping, and he went to a few dodgy places, and he didn't want anyone seeing the dog as white dogs stand out more, so I asked him what sort of lamp he had, he said he didn't know the make but it was 2million candle power with a thousand metre beam.
