jamie g 17
well after having my jewell trigger sat here for months i had it fitted today. i took it to richard pope in bromsgrove the guy use to work for webley venom and now work for himself. it took him just under a hour to fit as the trigger needed abit of work to fit. and then the stock needed milling out for the action to sit back down in the stock. then the trigger guard needed milling to he only charged me £30 which i think is very good with the bother it took to fit it. the trigger is superb and is factory set at a just over 1lb i think ! and safe we boltede it fast to see if it went off and give the butt a good bang to see if it made the rifle go off. i will see how i get on with it but i mite adjust it abit so there is a bit more pull before it breaks. because it does break pretty quick. there is no creep what so ever i would say anyone that wants some work done on there rifles at good prices and with superb care and finish then richard is the man to see. the day got better though because as soon as i got home and sat down the door bell rang it was the postie with my zeiss conquest scope... got the scope out once in my room and checked it out. very well build with superb optics. i would say to anyone that is after a great foxing scope with good mag and super clear optics look no more. the price i payed was £400 secondhand but it was like new anyway and not seen much use. ive looked through a fair amount of scopes and the only ones i think that beat it are the top of the range £1000+ s&b,swaroski, and ziess diavari which are over double the amount !!! it has a wide field of view.. the recticial is in the second focal plane so the size never gets bigger when you up the mag. and the turrets are positve to. they are pretty big but that dont bother me. the low light performance is stunning to which with a 25mm tube scope is great. as the scope is light. you can tell that its the make and the lens that really shows on the better make scopes and not just the tube body thickness. just looking forward now to setting it up at 1 inch high at 100 yards and then working out on the turrets how many clicks at 300 Quote Link to post

Great stuff yes was abit of a fiddle mate. the guy has a proper milling machine so makes it easy really. doing it by hand with a dremel would be hard ! and not very tidy Quote Link to post
dicehorn 38
You will enjoy that Jewell trigger Jamie, I have one on one of my 22.250 - just about the best ones to get. Will you be shooting the 50 or 55 gr heads? If at any time you have a problem getting your 22.250 to group well, come back to me. The recipe I use is fantastic and the same in both my 22.250s, also my friends CZ and another friend who has used this recipe in his 22.250 AI My best at 100 yrds with 4 shots is .182 ins - and I'm an old codger Quote Link to post

Hi Jamie One is a Blaser R93 Luxus the other is a Remington 700 tactical with H & N stock with triple crowned barrel and Jewell trigger I actually use the 55 gr V max - this IMHO is the weight this calibre was designed for Quote Link to post
