what age to start hunting

hey lads i have two polecat ferrets that i bought 3 weeks ago, their around 10 months old and are still very inclined to bite but are coming around. i haven't much experience ferreting so i was just wondering when i could start to bring them hunting???? any advice would help, like tips for their first few trips out

Yep deepend and throw them in! But cannot see them bieng 10 monthts old, meaning they would have been sprung unto this world in feb (at the start!) Most females are nowhere near in season at this time, but i never rule anything out when it comes to these critters.

The first warren I tried mine on had only three holes, hard to go wrong there... Unless its empty

let em get used to there collors first mate then get them have a rag on a dead rabbit this will get them to know that these are for "hunting" then the rest is instinckt collors on ferrets in

yes get them out ,

3 or 4 holers keep trying don,t give up they will soon learn ,mine did and now they are cracking workers.

Hi, mine are 6months old and been brought up with pipes in their run to train them. Took to it like duck to water last weekend, no probs, toes covered in bunny fluff! rock hard!!!!!!!
