Broadband, which one do you use?

Fancy a change from the Orange "Livebox" piece of crap to be honest . It's been OK for a while now but all of a sudden we have no phone connection through it, so no free calls anymore . Tried other phones etc and they don't work on it, so it ain't the phone and when you delve a little into some of the history of this electronic minefield, Orange are known to disconnect for no obvious reasons

 

Looking at Tiscali at the moment, what ISP do others use then?

I use talktalk for now, only had a minor problem a few months back with connection but it was sorted in less than a day

Orange here, top package so phone and internet both through them, have been with them since they were Freeserve dial up, not had any problems that weren't easy to sort out.

 

Think I pay £24 a month, unlimited everything, just the way I like it!

 

Al, have you rung them and told them you intend to disconnect? Mate did and got loads free off them, worth a try.

Use Tiscali, can be slow some times. Probably depends on your area and number of users

Just renewed with BT. . they're the only ones round here I can get half-decent speeds with. Told them their service was too expensive so they upgraded all my equipment to the new home hub (much better than the old one) and reduced the monthly payment to £19.99 (down a fiver)

Sky broadband here. I can't get the £5 a month package that other folk elsewhere in the world get, mines £17 a month, about the same as others around the same speed. It's reliable & fast enough for me.

I use tiscali been very reliable seeing i live out 4 miles from the exchange and the exchange is in the sticks, the only problem i have if something goes wrong and not meaing to sound offencive here but the people on the other end of the help line are foreign.

It's the same when you phone customer services almost anywhere these days.

 

Sometimes if you are lucky, you'll get someone that speaks & understands perfect English, but other times you have to hang up & redial it's that bad!
