SportingShooter 0
I think Deker has explained himself pretty well, nothing to be worrying about. Unlikely to see attacks launched on Pheasant shooters from his corner of the room. SS Quote Link to post
Deker 3,478
Just a thought Dekker. The guy with" loader "might have been with shooting coach. After all these years people in fieldsports are still taking cheap shots at each other based on class ,choice of sport ,the "wrong" sort of long-net even. Regardless of social standing some sports men are pompous donkey-holes & others are ignorant yobs . But there are many ,many more women and men from all social classes who enjoy various aspects of the countryside in so many different ways who may differ on outlook but are still members of a large sporting community that neets to present a united face..... Some have the land and the money ,others provide the enthusiasm and numbers. There are sadly a few who always hover about the edges contributing nothing but biased criticism and too often content to feed like parasites from the efforts of others. . Nothing wrong with having a light-hearted dig at someone or preferably with someone -but stupid steriotypical comments don't serve much purpose . He was there early and one of the first people I spoke to, we were talking for around 30 minutes and then on several occasions throughout the shoot and lunch!!! He was a Professional Personal Loader...and like I told him, I never new they even existed; he was more than happy to tell me about the Foreign Royalty, Ambassadors, Politicians, Film Stars and Pop Stars etc, etc he has worked for!! ...and a £10,000 per person per day shoot he had recently worked on!!! What a Job...almost as much fun as the member of the Formula 1 Pit crew who clean out debris from the air intakes on the car!! Quote Link to post

Squirrel_Basher 17,100
Having loaded for some big names myself , honest ,and shot the same birds at the end of season beaters day and i just have this to say .Its a real eye opener watching someone who is full time at the shooting game hitting bird after bird with the ease that only comes from complete mastery of the art .Double gun days were the norm with one particular chap regularly having 3 birds dead in the air .
