jart 0 Posted November 8, 2008 Report Share Posted November 8, 2008 had a mooch this morning excercising the pup, after about half an hour i noticed her marking under a small hawthorn bush thinking there was something sat i encouraged her to go further only to see her to start rolling in some s***e that comes from an animal we are,nt allowed to hunt anymore , why do they do it? took alot of cleaning before she got back in the car Quote Link to post

kayteetess 15 Posted November 8, 2008 Report Share Posted November 8, 2008 one of mine does it from time to time especially when she had pups and also when bathed,scent rolling apperantly is to mask the dogs odour to remain them undected to their quarry and also so they dont fetch a scent trail back to their domain just in case theres a few predators lurking about Quote Link to post
