Out for a couple of hours .

The lad nagged me enough to take him out for a bit of pigeon for a couple of hours today.I was going to have a day on the clays, but the weather didn,t look to clever .He does shoot clays with me and he,s not a bad shot ,but he,s never had a go at pigeons or any thing else for that matter.So first thing I had to do was send him back upstairs to change the bright red hoodie he had on I grabbed the semi and emptied a box of carts into my pocket and we walked out of the back gate and onto my permission how lucky am I.Got settled into a nice little place in the corner of one field in a hide I keep set up there, a couple of quick repairs and I sat down and let him bash on .The wind was blowing hard and I thought we were in for a wetting but it stayed off and he managed 5 pigeon for 17 shots bless him. they wasn,t the easiest of pigeons tho they were going some with the wind. He was well pleased enough ,just needs to learn to sit still and stop bloody nattering . All the best
