knocker 0
have just tried it your way stubby, not for me i'm afraid, too much fecking about to get the same result, i don't seem to have a problem distinguishing which direction to go just using lights.....puts me bang on the collar in seconds with no noise until the end, even then it's hardly noticeable, each to their own as they say Quote Link to post

The extra feature, in my opinion, is rather useful. But then I am an engineer and a bit of a geek when it comes to things like this. If you say that there's no noise until the end, I can assume that the pin-pointer is turned down. If the pin-pointer is permanently turned down then you've just limited it's search potential from 16ft (max) down to 8ft in one go. It's like using a hammer and holding it near the head instead of holding the handle. Edited November 14, 2008 by Cornio Quote Link to post

I never look at it, I just go by the clicks and trimming the pin-pointer. Maybe I'm turning into a bat lol! The only thing I would say about the pin-pointer is that it's going to be more awkward to use as it gets colder - numb fingers. Edited November 14, 2008 by Cornio Quote Link to post
