marko 30
thought i would put up a few piccies for anyone wanting to convert a strimmer and see what its like in the field first of i took of the red mesh front and cut away a small section to allow for pipe and hose next i took out the two screws holding filter in place and made a plate the same width as the filter and drilled the two holes to line up for screws then got a small piece of steel pipe with a bend in it, this was then cut to size 5-6 inches then this was widened at the back to allow it to swivel inside the plate if you can get a piece already like this of your nearest wrought iron place even better next insert the plate over the pipe and screw it into place then you need to seal all round the edges with suitable hardening paste i used gasket sealer this is heat proof .next you need a piece of radiator hosing 2-3 foot depending on what your needs are then i attached a piece of half inch alloy pipe just to keep it all as light as possible then the handle best go for a golf bag one if someone has an old lying about these are then attached to the handle by the use of heavy duty cable ties. just to add the handle has an auto switch on wilkies one so when it starts you just click it in and it goes on its own so you can stand back with the dogs and not get choked to death while waiting for the rats to bolt.
