Guest JohnGalway
John you CAN get the .243 for vermin only, As this is the way i went to start with, if you got plenty of land, just say the foxes are causing trouble at the farm at lambing and you need a rifle that is capable of taking them at extended range with ease...........plus that and you may be geting a deer licence inthe future............ How long ago was that SS? We've a new Supernintendo here who I've not had any dealings with as yet. Got plenty of acerage, and all sheep farms First thing to do with the deer would be to taste some venison I guess Think I've that in the works thanks to a member here though Quote Link to post
Mr_Logic 5
I'm still thinking it over. Two minds now because the magnification is very handy, I do use it sometimes. I'm thinking crow at 150 yards with an S&B reticle and wondering Anyhow, no rush on me, I'll get the HMR barrel sorted first (hopefully) then worry about the rest. So long as you're not on a windy day and having to work that out, whack the not-all-that-thick-really crosshair on the head, HMR will hit the chest off a hundred-yard zero.... Or just get the 4-16 Schmidt, they're only like £1100-odd... Quote Link to post

mattydski 560
John, I understand the need to obtain the object of desire that is the S+B, so would understand the need to make way by selling the surplus scopes you have. But in my experience, getting rid of a gun that has served you well...... Not so sure. I have on occasion sold/exchanged stuff to regret it later. Bereta's, Rapid 7's . b/a .410's all sold to much regret... So my advice is consider, then consider again... My .22lr is my favourite rifle for financial guilt free, trigger happy shooting. I would love an HMR for longer range work, but not in place of my .22lr... So scopes yes, guns no...in this circumstance.. Quote Link to post
