labsnlurchers 39
Personally i think the charity getting the dosh should be on the cover, its not about ''sites'' personalitys or politics , its to raise awareness for the charity after all we can maybe have them on the cover but to pay for the printing we need to leave the cover available for advertising aswell so we'll maybe have something that says the profit will be donated to .......... Ah so I's probably well out of the drift but B*ggered if I was going to sift through 30 something pages of posts. Advertising? Must be a few people with businessess on this site who'd pay something just to have a single line & phone number in small print somewhere on a list on the back or something . Sort of like, "Rat a Rid Pest Control .RingOOOOO" ,or"Dr Dick Trimmer ,specialist in gender re-assignment. Ring 00000etc". Fifty brief one line ads at £10 each thats er ..more pounds than I have fingers but ....[/size ] pmsl
DDD 4
Good idea, is it possible to have an updated more condensed post on this? Think I'd be in for some sponsoring. Cheers Dave
labsnlurchers 39
Good idea,is it possible to have an updated more condensed post on this? Think I'd be in for some sponsoring. Cheers Dave here goes lol! The calendar will be hunting girls, sexy, classy and in no way smutty! All girls are 18+ so no legal issues there. The various hunting laws will all be respected in every photo. the calendar will be 13 page, 12 months + cover. The themes will be as follows: JANUARY - FERRETING FERUARY - LURCHER MARCH - TERRIERS APRIL - AIR RIFLE MAY - FALCONRY JUNE - BULL X JULY - BULLET GUN AUGUST - WHIPPET sponsored SEPTEMBER - FISHING OCTOBER - TERRIERS (DIGGING) sponsored NOVEMBER - SHOT GUN/GUN DOG DECEMBER - HUNTING ON HORSE sponsored COVER The profit will go to charity which will be hunting related, just waiting for a few phone calls to talk to reps of the charty before we decide for definate which ones to support. The cost of a dedicated page with advertising of products/services etc will be £120, this is for 1000 copies of the calendar, the list above shows which are left requiring sponsors. payment via paypal and reciepts will be issued for tax purposes Your support would really be appreciated, If you need to know anything let me know x
labsnlurchers 39
I think £120 a page isnt too prohibitive. also.....if 300 members guarenteed to take 3 calendars each them moving 1000 should be a piece of p1ss.... Ah, so it's your fault I've got a PM from someone I've never heard of asking me for £120 donation towards a charity that hasn't been decided yet is it? Well I'm sorry but £120 is too prohibitive for me. 300 members guaranteed to take 3 calendars? Good luck with that! In my Utopia people would do as they promised too, unfortunately reality is often not like that! Good luck with the calendar, I look forward to seeing it. Sorry I can't help. Well thanks for letting me know and you have heard of me, i pm'd you before to ask if you would be willing to help out but said i wasnt sure of £££££, you replied and said you would help out where you could????so now i know whats what ive sent you the pm, explaining that it will be £120 for a dedicated page and asking if you wanted to sponsor the calendar. dont be so pesamistic, im sure we'll sell the calendars no probs x please strong stuff can you edit your post because potential sponsors will be reading this thread as i have sent the link to a few that have requested it and your post isnt very encouraging and it isnt true that you havent heard of me because i still have the pm from you in my inbox saying hi amanda, etc etc etc

I didn't intend my reply to be either unfriendly or unhelpful, just concise, which I think it is, I don't "know" you, and to be honest, without again being unfriendly or unhelpful. I do think that to send someone you don't know a pm asking for £120 a bit forward and presumptuous. please don't interpret my style of writing any way other than which it is intended, where did the figure of £120 come from? The majority of my reply was directed at the person who suggested the figure of £120, I do know him and know he will take that as written. He will also know that I do my bit for Charities I choose to help, specifically a show he helps organise and a current ongoing way of giving something to someone who may otherwise not have a lot this Christmas. My advice for what it's worth would be to go back to basics and nominate a Charity first, of course ensuring they are happy to receive donations from a Hunting group, then you can ask for help towards the cost of producing the calendar, I'd also suggest you consider asking for donations rather than plucking a price from thin air, we're not all earning 40 Grand a book!!! (Based on his friends estimate on another thread where he said a different author stood to earn 40k from a book) I don't doubt the calendar will be successful, and genuinely hope it is, I also have absolute certainty that you will encounter your fair share of empty promises, ask anyone that deals with people on a regular basis, with the best of intentions people rarely follow through with their promises. I hope this thread gets back on track now, and you make lots of dough for your chosen charity. Very best wishes. Aaron

The calendar is A3 so there will be plenty of room for the advertising, each sponsor gets a whole page in the calendar where their details/products etc will be published alongside the photo's and the calendar dates. We need to know what they want on their page and the calendar designer can then produce a sample page if they need one.
labsnlurchers 39
ok, now i dont want this thread turning into an argument but what you say is not true, you say you hadnt heard of me and i just asked you for £120, that isnt true, i would never do that, i am trying to organise sponsorship and on the 6th i sent you a msg explaining a bit about what we are doing Re:hunting girls calendar Strong Stuff View Member Profile Add as Friend Send Message Add to PM block list Forward PM Find Member's Topics Find Member's Posts Re:hunting girls calendar, Nov 6 2008, 10:23 PM Extreme Hunter Group: Donator Posts: 1303 Member No.: 939 Joined: 7-August 05 QUOTE Hi, a few of us are planning a hunting girls calendar for charity, we have the photographers etc, we just need some help paying for the printing......what we are hoping is that you can give us some sponsorship in exchange for free advertising, a dedicated month where your logos contact details etc can be printed, would you be interested? thanks amanda x Hi Amanda, Yes of course I'll help where I can. Good luck. Aaron -------------------- www.strongstuff.co.nr HEAVY DUTY DOG GEAR HAND MADE IN ENGLAND You can see what your reply was, so today i emailed you informing you that we had made a decision on the cost of sponsorship for one whole page of the calendar and asking you if you would like to sponsor and if so which month, i would never behave in the way you are suggesting and im sorry but i do find your post unfriendly and unhelpful, you could have just kept the 'no, im afraid i cant help' to pm instead of using it as a tool in whatever agenda you have. Please i am trying my hardest to make this work and do not need negativity on this thread as it may put more supportive people off sponsoring. x
