labsnlurchers 39
Its a bear!!! haha, he's my teddy bear! lol! Im hoping when i finally find a bitch that i like we can produce versatile litters that will excel at work but also have good conformation etc for the show ring, theres so many litters of labs about nowadays you got to have something special to be able to clear the kennels quickly! Ive got another in the kennel, he's KC reg and 4 yrs old but he is the more obvious FTCH type, not my type and if it was down to me he'd go to a good home where he would be worked, he's dead keen but I like them to have lots of body, big head etc and decent size for thick brush, i like them to look like they could do a hard days work time and time again! lol Quote Link to post

labsnlurchers 39
Drakeshead is a big name up north here. Yeah, thats the only one ive heard of but then i dont really pay much attention to the pedigree and i didnt realise how good it was till i phoned the kennel club and the woman on the phone said 'do you realise your dog has a very good pedigree with 24 FTCH in it' I was like 'oh right? so its not my training then! haha' I think hes been a bit wasted with us though, he used to go beating a few years ago but until recently he's just been used for retrieving and ive done a bit of showing with him. Now we are working on a shoot that our friends run and i was quite suprised how good he was considering he's not done it for a while. Quote Link to post
