Guest foxyjo.
SJM - I could have told you that!!! I've tried the homeopathic stuff before on Jay and I might as well have dripped water into his mouth for all the good they do!! He's now on the sofa dribbling down the laptop!! It's still like a war zone round here...
hily 379
My dogs arn't gunshy but don't like the screaming noises that some fireworks make i keep the dogs in there box in the back of the landy until 9ish then feed them and bed them down in there sleeping box outside in the run i have a door on the sleeping box and this is the only time of year i close it i think it gives the dogs a sense of security because they soon settle down (this may be that the sounds are muffled and that they cannot see any flashes) don't know but it works. ps it seems to me that the explosion noises are exagerated with double glazing .because i used to try and settle dogs in the house but it didn't work

john hubery 9
My old lurcher dog is the only one to suffer with the fireworks, but he gets it bad, last night I got in late from work and the firework had already started, the poor sod had eaten half his kennel door and stunk of piss, where he had been pissing with fright then trying to pull himself through the hole he had made in his door, if you stressed a dog as much as the clowns with the fireworks frighten other peoples dogs you would be banned from keeping a dog for life, you can ban them all for me, its not just one night we have had them since last friday and I dont supose they will stop untill after the weekend because now the shops will be selling them of cheap to get rid SJM the gear to settle your dogs is crap if it makes you fell better I bought a load for the shop and there still there, think they will be getting ritten off as out of date stock

Guest SJM
Cheers for the advice Foxy and John By a process of elimination I figured out last night who the worst offenders were. I brought them in one by one until the noise stopped, so now I know for sure which ones are really bothered by them to the point they go mental and wont shut up. The eldest 2 and youngest borders were the ones making all the noise, the rest never made a peep, Ive never had any bother in the past when I just kept lurchers, they dont seem to bother at all. I will be better prepared next year, allthough I am hoping for a better solution ie move somewhere with no fecking neighbours at all lolol
