if your dog is fit

not a staff even if if fit, been round staffs +pits back to 60s, you might get the odd daft rabbit with a staff, but some pits are very racey and not to heavy+agile, more chance with one of them

Think ur pissing against the wind, but if its all you have then so be it, worth a try, Lad I know from way back in the early 80's used to run his staff on bunnies, kept the dog fit.

Its like going to a wife swapping party and bringing ur mate along,, strangest things have happened

If a 140lb malamute can catch 5 that was on another topic it shows with the right work most dogs are capable of catching a few, it's all about how much work is put into the said dog to teach it the relevant skills. And work the dog go it's advantages not it's weaknesses

I go lamping with a lad who lamps a staffy, she's keen as mustard, runs the beam faithfully but suits small paddocks only it's great fun and keeps the dog fit.

I tried mine but she's useless lol but a cracking busher and has a great nose.

Good luck to you mate.

Stabs your dog looks tip top pal.

Have seen a staff x rottie catch, usualy squatters or when they are bouncing of hedges, atleast he said that was the breeding :whistling: , prey drive thru the roof, rabbits looked like the dog had a go at gutting/skinning them too,

not my cup of tea,

Wouldent trust it eiter, used to do well on rats and eat what it caught, sick!

Just about ANY dog will catch the odd rabbit on the lamp, but not consistently. All you will do is sicken the dog and make the rabbits lamp shy ! If it's the only dog you have, OK, have a go, but don't expect much more than some mad running about the field.

Cheers.
