longrange 0
when i was regulating the custom rifles, mentioned earlier in this debate! my trademark, on finished rifles, was to buy packs of playing cards, and take the ace of spades, benchshoot at 100yds and blow the centre out with a 5 shot group!, enclose the card in the case. some of the people these mega bucks rifles were built for could'nt hit the sand? remember ITS NOT THE ARROW ITS THE INDIAN Quote Link to post

mattydski 560
I`ll not mention the extra cost for wanting to fit a bipod to a sauer unlike any other make`s Mind you the post`s about "any price" so why not pay extra to put an extra stud in the Sauer No extra cost here, came with a QD stud ready fitted. I will speak to Sauer and have them revoke your Membership to the 'Sauer's R Us' fan club if your not careful. Matt Quote Link to post

Mr Adventure 0
All sorts of opinions here . Buying a rifle is a personal thing and down to what "lifts your kilt". You can get info from forums like this and form your own oppinion from other shooters experiences. But at the end of the day its your money and it's you that makes the final choice. There is no such thing as an inaccurate rifle it's down to the shooter himself. The majority of gun manufactures have been around a very long time and their products are highly developed, things do break and ware out. but in all the years (25 plus)I've shot (pistol and rifle) I've never shot out a barrel. As to the custome scene, its mainly cosmetic for the hunting crew who have loads of money. Target and bench rest shooting is different, the guns target shooters use are sometimes not readily avalible off the shelf. To quote LONGRANGE "ITS NOT THE ARROW ITS THE INDIAN ". That's the vital point! (bit of a pun their . About Mattydski's Sauer I've clover leafed three rounds with it at 250-275yds so it canny be that bad :showoff: and I like it's set trigger The rifle I would have is a Sako TRG22 with all the bells and whistles "The rifle that does everthing". To you'r question "Which .243 at any price? .......Any one Tikka,Sako,CZ,Sauer,Reminton,Howa, ect ect ect. Only advice I could give is, think about what you want to do with the rifle and also consider the cost for a good scope? No point in having a cracking rifle and a crap scope. Quote Link to post
