Guest lurcherboy2008
a dog dont need marks on it to be a good fox dog if hes doing 4 or 5 a night regular he must have a nack for it obviously hell take a bit of stick even the best of dogs with the best of brains do he may not look marked up bad in that pic but his colour and his type of coat will cover it

jimb 30
a proper fox dog will grab the first bit it can and will get marked up dont speak rubbish man because a dog grabs a fox the first bit it can ??????????doesnt make it a proper fox dog ,but what I think most are trying to say and what I mean is even if a dog does have the knack and it has done the large numbers the lad claims it has it will still get marked plain and simple
Kye 77
When i was back home, if we only had dogs that would "run along side the fox and smash the neck/head" you wouldnt get many foxs!...i had a Hancock, and he killed a few foxs, but was NO fox dog...infact he was one of them dogs, that unless he could chase the fox for a few laps, and take it when HE wanted, he just wouldnt...lol...we had to use 'silly' dogs that would grab the fox ANYWHERE they could, yeah, some moved to the vitals from there, but many times the fox would be through a hedge/fence and the dog would only have the tail to get hold of, which is often the case in small paddocks, or fields...the fox was then humanly dispatched buy the dog once taken hold of...a good dog for any game, imo, is one that will grab the game ANY chance it gets, and grabs it ANYWHERE!... Kye,..
