NEEDED... New home for young lurcher

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

Recently my husband and i rescued a young lurcher about 9 months old now. His family was getting a divorce.. had no time for him and was going to shoot the poor thing. Thats just not on. Certainly wasn't the dogs fault!

He's a lovely looking lad, bright and bouncy. Very fast and eager to please. Has very little basic obedience as yet though he's starting to understand some if he's highly motivated.. ie got a treat for him lol.. knows Sit (when he wants lol) and will come to a whistle or call no problem, but desperately needs someone who can take the time and energy he needs to turn him into a great hunting dog i know he can be.

We had intended to keep him ourselves and train him up to work with our ferrets, however we have a 16 yr old jack russell that just will NOT accept him and we need to take her needs and stress level into consideration, she's worked all her life and deserves a peaceful retirement.

He is vaccinated and microchipped and healthy as a horse. 24" ish (Edited due to questions causing me to check.. ermm.. the math lol sorry bout that i'm a woman sue me!) at the shoulder and probably has a few more inches to go.

We aren't asking anything for him but a small donation to cover our expenses over the past month would be appreciated. We can deliver within reason in the Devon/Cornwall area and are headed to Hampshire on the 9th for the day so thats a possiblity as well.. We'll bring him further and Happy to meet in the middle from anywhere if you can cover our petrol or you can come pick him up.

I'm looking for a Good home for him. Please PM if you are interested!

thanks

Heather
