Guest 10/22
It reads like some propoganda that the rspca would put out in order to get more money from the public purse.

labsnlurchers 39
It reads like some propoganda that the rspca would put out in order to get more money from the public purse. it probably could be used in that sense, but here it was meant to encourage people to be responsible when homing their pups, whilst i know from experience you can never be 100% its your responsibility to do the best you can for the lives you have created. lurchergrrl 1,441
WHAT HAS THIS TO DO WITH LURCHERS RUNNING DOGS AND HOUNDS?? I would think it's got something to do with any type of dog ... and it seems there's plenty out there, not just in the lurcher game, who breed for the f**k of it without any thought at all to the end results. It would serve a lot of people well to be even slightly moved by it. In particular it seems there are hundreds of lurchers ending up in pounds, pts, or left tied up in yards or to gates and trees out in the middle of nowhere. Job done, game over. Thanks for posting that LNL.

labsnlurchers 39
I found this too, Treat me kindly, my beloved master, for no heart in all the world is more grateful for kindness than the loving heart of me. Do not break my spirit with a stick, for though I should lick your hand between the blows, your patience and understanding will more quickly teach me the things you would have me do. Speak to me often, for your voice is the world's sweetest music, as you must know by the fierce wagging of my tail when your footstep falls upon my waiting ear. labsnlurchers 39
a pic to go with the story oh my god  why would someone do that? i've heard about people shooting their dogs if they dont do what they want them too, and infact ive rescued 2 and given them to my parents as pets (a boxer and a lurcher) but hanging them up to die? At least if they are shot there is no suffering but this is just beyond belief.....

People shouldnt need to be encouraged to be responsible for their charges, they are, its their responsibility and theirs alone what happens top dogs rehomed or sold as pups, but you can never be 100% certain as circumstances change and accidents happen. It just doensnt happen to animals though, it also happens to human beings not just abroad but also in this country - we cant save everybody, all we can do is our best, some peoples best just isnt acceptable, this isnt their fault either in many cases. Its called life.
