I am Just finishing off my FAC/SGC certificate and i have a few questions just to confirm.

I have read that the Referees have to send off the sheet them selves, cant i send the paper work all in one envelope?

I will be putting a £60 check in the envelope, if my application is refused, will i get the money back?

Do i have to get a letter from the land owner i wish to shoot on to confirm the caliber that i want to use? or will the FEO check the land to make sure that it is "safe" to shoot on?

Can a friend that has a FAC buy a 22lr then given to me, or is this simple not allowed?

Thanks for any help guys and girls

It's always best to have written permission for any shooting but it's up to the FEO to decide if the land is safe to use a firearm on.

Can a friend that has a FAC buy a 22lr then given to me, or is this simple not allowed? So long as you have your FAC and you follow the correct procedure.

Thanks for any help guys and girls

Good luck with your application mate. :)

Hello mate, each referee for fac must send the forms themselves as you are not realy ment to see what they have written. You will get your money back if its refused. At first grand you must have written permission from landowners or the person who has the shooting rights and it must state what calibre you are gonna be using(in england anyway) as for your friend buying a gun then giving you it i dont know about that.

You do not need a letter but it WILL help, the FEO will check (if the land is not already cleared)..odds are he will also check to make sure you are not winding him up!!

Can a friend that has a FAC buy a 22lr then given to me, or is this simple not allowed? 100% YES if he has a spare slot for a .22LR, but obviously he can only give it to you after your FAC has been granted!!

I only have the application forum and it only has half a page written what the addresses are and phone numbers are for the referees (look in the ling part E) http://www.basc.org.uk/media/form_101.pdf this is all i have and there is not much space for the referees to write in(luckily enough the two referees are mother and son which are a nurse and a banker and they live just 100yds down a track from me.
