Need help on Lamping

Well...

 

I'v been hunting with ferrets for a while now, I am now old enough to hunt on my own with an air rifle and am intrested in lamping.

 

I have looked on the market for a lamp to buy can't find the type i am imagining. I have two mounts that fit to my barrel and I am looking for a handheld, affordable, flashlight that is up to the job.

 

(I have no idea what makes a good lamping lamp so I need help)

 

I don't want to buy one of them big things that mount by the scope, I want a flashlight shaped one to fit under the barrel.

 

I'f I am imagining a Lamp that doesn't exist then what are the requirement that make a good lamp? Can someone point me in the right direction.

well a maglight may be the way, or you can mount a 140 striker to the bottom of your barrell, get alot more distance out of it. just a suggestion..

imo, either get a mate to hold a big lamp, or use a gun mounted one, if you buy a decent one, it shouldnt weigh too much and be easy to shoot with

you can pick them up cheap second hand now about £30 - £40 you want a proper lamp bud gun mounted the logun are a good little lamp or the deben tracers.A torch just doesnt cut it.
