Kennel cough is a horrible mine all had it in the summer, the general rule is if one gets it they all do, as you can carry it from one to another. I would say they are fine together, dont run them for 3 weeks tho - it has been know for the lungs to blow. Try and make sure you wash hands, clothes and footwear if handling other peoples dogs, cos it spreads so easily.

I got mine from handling a pup at a game fair, i did not even take my dogs with me because the weather was so bad.

Good luck and hope they get better soon.

It will pass from one to other anyway so best keeping them all in one place. Dont let em mix with other dogs & as said already keep away from other dogs if you can. Kiddies benylin is good & works. If they start getting to stressed or bad with it thou they may need anti biotics. It seems to be doing the rounds at the minute unfortunately

DONT EVEN START ME!

Its swept through our villages a while ago, and all ours got it! Proper nuisance. Plus the vaccine isn't worth a rub. theres loads of strains of the cough and the vaccine only covers a handful. Had two of the dogs vaccinated and they both got it - one quite badly. Just give benelyn, keep them warm and let it take its course. But why do vets insist they should be brought straight in to be checked over??!! The dog walks from the car through the waiting room to the consultating room where in between theres lots of vulunerable dogs that will now catch it as your dogs breathed its germs into the nice enclosed air space just for a vet to screw a consultation fee off you and now all the other dogs that was in the waiting room in the next 3-10days!!

UGHHHHH...... Money grabbing Bas***ds! :realmad: :wallbash: :realmad: :wallbash:

Giving antibiotics straight away as some older vets insist is a waste of time and your money. Antbiotics should only be used for secondary infection. My dogs had this in the summer and my vet wanted me to give anti-biotics as a preventative to the others... :o He also got humpy because I inssisted he come out to my car to see her, told me I could bring her in! I refused and when I went in to pay without her , there were 3 other dogs coughing their guts up

My bitch caught it whilst at a training school who allowed people back once their dogs stopped coughing because they thought they were no longer contagious. Seeing as they are both KC judges they either had no wish to loose money or they don't read KC rules :icon_
