Paul.L 0
I have a day driven game at the end of November,on a smallish scale ,that will include a drive from an inland pond that holds a few duck .Now I understand that I must use a lead substitute . I know that the cheapest option will be steel however the gun that I shall be using for the day is my Browning 525 This isn,t actually proofed for steel I assume because of the lack of fleur de lys stamp ,from what I understand I can still use a modest steel load through it .However this particular gun is fixed choke 1/4 3/4 and that is as I understand to be the stumbling block .Is there any other lead substitute that I can safely use through this gun that will not cost the earth . The gun is chambered for according to the barrels 2 3/4" and 3" Quote Link to post

Sounds expensive but if you can shoot at a ratio of 4 to 1 then £17 for 6 ducks seems a good deal to me Peter Quote Link to post

At the end of the day it is your choice. I am at the dusk of my shooting life having enjoyed 50 years of shooting - how many 20 somethings can expect another 30 years of shooting especially if we disregard our shooting laws? Just my 2p worth - no offence intended Peter Quote Link to post
