Guest fight the ban
Come on guys how would you check a dog you are buying ? A little example a man is moaning because he has bought a dog believing it to be a collie/greyhound then found later it was a stamped up greyhound please just put on some things what you check and maybe people might learn things to look for when buying dogs ive learnt buying a dog older than 10months old is a complete waste of time, 99% of the time. even if its a good dog its never really yours there always seems to be something missing. i also like a dog to have done nothing apart from recall and retrieving a tennis ball or dummy. labsnlurchers 39
i tend to agree with your last statement AR, in the lurcher world reputation is key, a reputable breeder needs to protect and improve his/her status and they will not do this by selling dishonestly, this provides a good basis on which to start with. There is no guarantee's were backdoor sellers are concerned. Oh! and I would never buy an adult dog from anyone only pups. Edited November 1, 2008 by undisputed Quote Link to post

Oh! and I would never buy an adult dog from anyone only pups. no guarentees is right a few weeks back i picked up a norfolk adtrader. there was an advert for a litter of bull greyhound collie greyhound pups. claimed to be out of a well known bull cross from up north, well this dog couldn't have served the bitch. another peddler using a name to sell their pups, wonder how often this happens?
