bullmastiff 615
I've been using the Mag for a few month's now and seem to be finding it harder and harder to get on with. Firstly I think it might be affecting the accuracy of the gun 1 1/2" groupings now, Where as I used to be able to get 1/2" groups resting on a bail using a tape measure to get the range. Although can't blame it just on this as the inside of the barrel hasn't been cleaned since I got it as I've only put 1 tin of pellets through it so far (still waiting for a logun cleaning kit to appear!). Secondly the rubber band that holds the pellets in the mag catches on the bolt as it comes through to push the pellet into the breech Making it really hard to push forward. Has anyone else used one and did you have any problems with it? I'm usually just a pot hunter so actually shoot very few pellets, but I'll be hitting into the crows again soon and will be shooting as fast as I can load! so would prefer to sort the problem rather than just remove the magazine. Cheers for your thoughts. Luke Quote Link to post
droid 11
Can't comment on the accuracy, since mine is crap, but I don't notice any great resistance pushung the bolt forward. Quote Link to post
bullmastiff 615
Bad accuracy? before or after you fitted the Mag? I found mine really accurate when I first got it, after I zero'd it, I was leaning on a bail and managed to put 7 out of ten shots through a circle the size of a 1p at a measured 30yds, with no breeze and a nice cool afternoon. My mate was amazed, so was I, having never seen PCP's in action before!, that's something I could never do with my old Springer when I was younger and I used to be a bit of a crack shot back then! When I was younger (about 14-15), My dad used to get me to shoot his friends fag butts at about 20yds and I could shoot starling's in the head from my bedroom window at 10-15yds then some of them would hang upside down by one leg from the branch they were stood on so I used to shoot through their leg so I could get them for the Ferrets. and that was with an old .22 Relum Tornado Springer! Cheers Luke. Quote Link to post
droid 11
Sorry mate, should have made myself clearer. My accuracy is crap, can't comment on the rifle. I'd look at the resistance to the bolt action though. Mine seems very light compared with yours. At least going on your description...... Quote Link to post
bullmastiff 615
Yeah mine is really tough, it's like the elastic band is to tight? or the chamfer on the bolt head it to sharp and catches the edge of the band, trying to push it through after the pellet. Quote Link to post
Portland_Jon 0
Sounds like you need a light smear of silicon grease around the o-ring. All Logun type mags need a smear of grease occasionally to allow the smooth passage of pellets. Jon Quote Link to post
bullmastiff 615
Thank you Jon, I'll try that. Regards Luke. Quote Link to post
