Guest gaz100604 Posted October 30, 2008 Report Share Posted October 30, 2008 hi guys i have made two phone calls today to farmers in cheshire the first was a "yes" to some lamping with the lurchers he has 60acres and second was a "yes" he has 750acres over run with bunnies. im meeting both respectivaly saturday one is a customer at the garage bought a vehicle from us and got the yes fro him , the other i got a name from a good customer of mine who gave me the landowners number i introduced myself and got a yes within 5mins meeting him for permission slip to be signed saturday. my brother lloyd r is due to visit me on nov 14th with my earlies crimbo pressie a lightforce 170 with battery so im ready to go might have two more permission my early next week here hoping hes up to it not seen anything yet but thats about to change Quote Link to post

One has brought a vehicle from you and the other is another customer who has recommended you. Try calling these farmers if the connection wasn't there! Different answer i bet! Im lucky ive not been in that position to go asking. Not having a go mate, just there are people on here who still havent got permission to go anywhere, and have tried to obtain land. Cold calling doesn't work any more, they are looking for some sort of reference. This year I lost 2,000 acres of good mixed ground, hill, woodland and grass. It was only for rabbits and vermin but as the shooting had been let to his brother, anything shared was welcome. He got the offer he couldn't refure and the new shooting tenant doesn't want anybody else on the place. No hard feelings and he got me the permission on the next door farm, still vermin but the farmer likes to see a dog run. Works all round. Quote Link to post

Good luck at bashing those bunnies on your new land. jasus go easy on me mate its meant as tongue i cheek, if you read any of my posts i have stuggled hugley to get my pup out in fact i got pm from a lad with experienced dog looking to tag along so will have chat with him see if i can organise it i believe i got hughley lucky and if i can lend a hand for a night out with someone i will defo do. thanks gary Quote Link to post
