dytkos 17,784
Funny how a light hearted lamping report can be misinterpreted! Nobody mentioned MarkBrick (to whom I presume your referring), I just followed the style of very recent previous posts on here whereby lamping with dogs running by the vehicle was used and dubbed "Bricking" Light hearted see!Do you really think MB invented it? Come on, wind your neck in. No offence taken or meant. Cheers, D. Funny how some light hearted banter can be misinterpreted! Neither myself or Mackem mentioned Markbrick (to whom you were obviously referring to by the title of this thread) of course MB didn't invent it we'd all know about it if he did wouldn't we? Come on, wind your own neck in Dicktoes no offence meant or taken Cheers And here's me thinking that this site was all about the exchanging of hunting related accounts, advice, meeting people, etc etc etc. Seems some people just want to slag other people off at any opportunity. By the way the name is Dytkos. Grow up. Quote Link to post

But for lads like myself who work uneven ground and rolling hills and like to hunt SOLO, It just aint gonna work...simple as that...for the likes of us if you wanna get real close to game, and not 100 yard +slips using a bit of fieldcraft and walking works wondersl. Lamping from a truck ain't new, see it many times, the local lads tooled up with 12 gauges and rimfires, and a fecking huge lamp trying to shoot everything that moves that if it has not legged it before they enter the field..... Maybe this is the answer I have been looking for, regarding the portly rotund large paunched lurcher owners I have seen over the years.... each to there own, and good hunting Reload (built like a racing snake) Quote Link to post

dytkos 17,784
Quite a dog that Dyktos....Looks to have done alright...nice job Thank you, he's coming on. None of my rabbits were from the truck, all were walked up, which is what I have done for 95%of the time for the last 20 odd years. It's horses for courses and each to his own. Truck lamping is just another weapon in the armoury. Cheers, D. Quote Link to post
tia.kins 56
Reload, the white dog is not what i would expect from such a mating, but definatley a lurcher and runs well for it. Got a cracking head on him too...and no fear of cover. RE lamping, my two oence is as follows: Like your self i am a traditional man, walk the field, on my own, nice and quite, minimal noise, minimal light form my lamp. To be honest we done more of that that night than drive. But the land quantity of land and the fact the numbers have to be controlled means you can use the landyrover to good effect in keeping farmers happy...and still have your choice of land to walk up I dont think the landy makes it easier for the dogs to catch either, infact there is no recovery time between runs.....but you can cover ground quicker and therefor catch more in less time Anyway fella.....I'll have to show you flyn running sometime Quote Link to post

All walking, no trucking and I'll carry a few this time! Cheers, D. Quote Link to post
