Guest dotty Posted October 30, 2008 Report Share Posted October 30, 2008 they are hit with a dart as they come out of the tunnel into the arena to wind them up and so that they don't stop and turn back. i went to this type of bull fight and sat right at the front, it was truly amazing, at one point the horse went nose to nose with the bull and went down on its front knee's and bowed to the bull. however, it was not for me, i hated it, but it is there culture which i can respect, it just wasn't for me. zap 4 Posted October 30, 2008 Report Share Posted October 30, 2008 I dont have to be from another culture to appreciate the skill involved in this particular sport or activity, the farling wood brigade in this country destroyed thousands of years of culture by humanising animals and making people beleive that they were all cute and cuddly and it was cruel to hunt etc etc. I for one dont really care how a steak ends up on my plate as long as it tastes good.
