bullmastiff 615
As above, it turned up this morning in the post so I've been practicing with it for Friday, but don't seem to be able to get a really high pitch from it like you can with your hand. To be honest it sounds more like a fawn screaming than rabbit in distress! It says to bite down on it to make it higher pitch (which it does) but even biting it completely flat (which then means your red in the face trying to blow it!) it still doesn't sound quite lifelike? Has anyone else got one of these and does this lower pitch squeak still work effectively? Thank you for your thoughts. Luke. Quote Link to post
dicky das 4
yeh mate i got one last week used it on about 6 foxes and they all ran off so went back to useing my hand a got the next 2 think ill leave it at home next time Quote Link to post
jamie g 17
is it the black one ? i have it the key is not to really blow in it just use your lungs to get a good pitch. i go different between to pitchs high then the low deep pitch. then once a fox runs in keep it high but not so loud. i sometimes use that for range then go to the wam to draw them in close. Tikka T3 0
hi mate go callmaster you wont regret it just ask john galloway on here ,worth every penny ive used the black hamonica type years ago ok on foxes that really havent any previous encounters but call master is superb t3 Quote Link to post
flyboy 11
had one of them yokes years ago and never did any good with it ;use a mirror with airboard to call long range and switch to the wamm which i think is very good . Quote Link to post
Ratman2 2
I've got one of those Wam Squeeler things, cheap as chips and damn effective, though I find sucking on it is better than blowing........oohhhh! suit you sir Rob Quote Link to post
Deker 3,478
Got one and had a fair degree of success with it..doesn't always work though but nothing ever does!! Quote Link to post
jamie g 17
i think its good to mix it up abit with different calls. one what works one week dont allways work the next Quote Link to post
bullmastiff 615
Thank you for your comments guys, seems some mixed reviews then! some like it but quite a few don't! I'll try and get a sound recording of it if possible. T3 £165 for the callmaster is just too expensive for me. We get quite a few foxes come in as theirs a landfill site over a man made ridge down the edge of 3 of the fields but it's mainly the young'uns, with the older dog foxes stood out on the ridge just looking down into the fields not moving! so wanted to try something different to get them in! Cheers again Luke Quote Link to post
