i have a 4 month old pup that has not been able to keep its food down for the last two days, still bright and lively in itself, any thoughts and advice greatly appreciated!

With a four month old pup, you haven't got as much "wait and see" time as you would have with an adult - so I'd be off to the vet. It could be an obstruction, an illness or a reaction to something the pup's eaten or something else. I'd go to the vet today to be on the safe side.

The most immediate danger your pup is probably in right now is dehydration.

Two days is along time to be unable to keep food down -usually i follow and period of sickness with a 24 hour fast( but water always) then i expect the dog to be able to start to eat small amounts of normal food

If this doesnt happen or the dog looks poorly i would seek vet advice.

Just remember young and old dogs can go downhill very quickly
