Am I the only one who zeros at 80yrds????

I do this as it suits the main farm I shoot on.

If I want 100yrds I go up 6 clicks on the scope or 60yrds down 6 clicks...I have marked my scope for 40, 60, 80, 100 and 120 yrds.

This works really well for me.

Well I admire your skills here.

I have honestly only found a .22 to be accurate at max 90 yards and thats pushing it ( constant zero I am on about )

I zero at 60 to be safe and know that the rifle will not maim your kill.

I would say the at 120 yards you're pushing a 22 at its extremes.

But if you are a true expert marksman you will know better than me and know where the bullet is going

Regards

hi in the right hands a 22lr would kill rabbits at 150 yards ! it depends on a number of things.

1 you have to no the rifle and scope very well

2 it would have to be a wind free day or night

of course at that distance the consistancy would be less but we are not talking target size groups you should be able to still group under 2 inches with pratice and in the right conditions and that is more then you would need for a rabbit size target even a head shots maybe.

yes it would be hard but get out and try some ranges you would never try. and i a sure you when you go back to your normal ranges your shooting will im prove no end. if anything because it seams close after that ;)

I really enjoy getting out a couple of hours early and punching paper at 'long' distances until the bunnies start to show!

When I switched from an air rifle to my rimfire I really struggled with the transition, I now feel comfortable with my scope and rifle.

I have now fired many thousands of rounds in 6 months.

I take several targets with me and 2 'pea sticks' and tape the target to these, no weight and fit in your pocket!
