Garypco 2 Posted October 27, 2008 Report Share Posted October 27, 2008 just remember folks this forum is what you all make it!!! how many of you know how to report a post etc the modding is a hard enough task as is...bottom line is you should all be modding the forum on a daily basis if you see a post thats illiegal or out of order people getting personal anything that portrays us in a bad light report the post make it easyer for the mods who have to trawl through everypost just to make sure nothings amiss!!! for the people that get bitchy about being overmodded etc theres no such thing some people come on here just to cause shit...some of these even long term members cud be antis on a windup anything...... bottom line is if you all want the forum to stay open then you should all take care and responsibility of it!!! all the mods on here need praising because at the end of the day you can not comprehend how much work goes behind the scenes....ive done it and continue to do it on the iff sometimes it drags the shit out of you.... well done ian and all the guys who make this forum possible...its a great forum and i hope will be an even greater one in the future!!! best of luck guys!!! Grim Reaper 1 Posted October 27, 2008 Report Share Posted October 27, 2008 (edited) Right lets get this straight, we have a forum full of genuine people and a small minority of people whos real interest doesn't lie in hunting, but causing disruption on here and other sites...This is not what the forum is about, its about a common interest "hunting" , we need to stick together if its to stay here..I've received a LOT of emails, which to be honest I'm touched by, people thanking for the site, the friends they've made, they truely appreciate the place, I've also had emails from people wanting to take it over, etc... Which isn't going to happen, well not while I'm still kicking anyway.... Theres been a few members removed from the site, and if the place stays online, which is only going to be temporary for now, I'm going to come down hard on anyone posting anything that can damage us or portray our sport in a bad light, but we NEED the MEMBERS support also in helping us with this... The site takes a lot of time up for myself, and the time of the moderators who try to keep on top of things, which seems a thankless task at times... its very much appreciated though guys, its all too easy for someone to come on here and put others down...but as I say, things are going to change for the better.. I'll give it this chance... there a few that need a straightner yet....... Oh yeh, I finally got some painting done today Hi Ian, I am sorry if what I'm about to say is deemed as bad, but I am not at all sorry for the saying of it though! With reference to the bold and underlined above - why don't you just simply BAN THE F**K-WITS mate - once and for all, and then this site will come back to what it was - a site that everyone can benefit from, and everyone can be of a help and benefit to everyone else! I for one have made many friends here in THL, and have received help, as well as (hoping) to have given it to others too. For that, I am gratefull and wish to express my thanks for providing such a great site Ian. But to paraphrase an old saying "the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few" this has never appeared so true as how it does now - the membership (of which there are many young and new members) deserves to have this site up and running for them, and the good of the sport. There is one hell of a knowledge base here, and it is both deep and wide, and is to the benefit of all concerned - the New, and the Old. No one is ever too old to learn, and every day you learn something new - this sport is always going to need a few, to explain to the many - thereby educating literally thousands, at the end of the day. So please Ian, please, please don't let this place for everyone be ruined by the actions of complete fools and imbeciles. And with regard to the fools and imbeciles, i say this collectively: F**k you, and by that i mean all of you - if you think you can ruin this place for everyone else, then you will be standing against the membership here - ALL of us! like i say, sorry for the upset, but not sorry for the saying of it. player1 2 Posted October 27, 2008 Report Share Posted October 27, 2008 i heard today that the forum was shutting up shop fpr good, but am glad to see its still up and running! i agree that their is a small minority of people with their heads up their arses, who are not genuine, and need to spend alot more time in the field and not tugging off over their laptops, ie arm chair hunting! as for me, ive got a 10 month old pup to train, so keep up the good work and happy hunting...
