gazguildford 0
just wondering what you guys would use seen as bipods on springers aint to good for the gun and ur groupings? i use a padded fishing rod rest when zeroing or a padded wheel barrow what would you guys use? obviously a wheel isnt to small to take around and ive yet to find a collapsable rod rest. mad al 146
I just use a gun dog dummy on a post/grass clump/whatever and it "settles" the rifle in all conditions Quote Link to post

camies 1
Hi. The thing about springers is their HATE of being supported by a solid object like a rest or even a bipod. Bean bags are ok and my dog's pillow works a treat BUT in the field, how many people have something stable to balance their particular "recoil proof" cushion on. I have tried bipods, monopods, fishing rod stands, and a wide range of stuffed toys but the best one I've found was when I was showed how to hold a rifle as the FT shooters do. As luck would have it, on UTUBE there is a quick tutorial which might help you and costs nought. the link is www.youtube.com/watch?v=9sa7ODrtWMY or was earlier today. Hope this helps.
