here you go mate, http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/index...showtopic=69454

im just entering into a breeding programme where i breed my bull x dog to an unrelated bull x bitch, keep a dog pup back and put it to my other bull x bitch who is full sister to the dog used in the first mating, Takes a while as they need to be proven workers really before you breed, im giving mine 1 or 2 yrs work because i know the lines that are there are 110% proven (gimp).

Its linebreeding when it goes ok, and inbreeding when it goes wrong :D David James used to breed line bred collie lurchers, I think SJM will know more..........

i have got a collie cross lurcher bought off david jame's daughter, met him when i colllected pup, read a little about him in a plumber book, do you know anything about his strain? like to know more about this line, any info appreciated.

for any off you who are thinking off taking a project like this on i recomend that you keep all the pups back off your selected sex and start running them all on disregarding the ones that arnt what you require along the way. but remember at the end youve got one dog left ready to breed from its proved its self in the feild better than the rest off the litter so away you go. or do you just because that dog was the best in the litter doesnt make it 100% it may be out off an only average litter, you will be looking threw rose tinted specs, you will be becoming impatient wanting to progress to the next stage. make sure you are 100% certain in what you do cause linebreeding is not only the quickest way to produce a tight line its allso the quickest way to destroy a onece good line. its not for the inpatent
